Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, or CBT, is a powerful form of talking therapy that helps you identify and break negative thought patterns. It works on the principle that a negative thought will become a negative emotion which in turn becomes a negative action. We offer an initial 6 session course, with an hour long session every 2 weeks. Sessions are conducted via phone or video call so you can stay in the comfort of your own home as we work together to reframe your thoughts. You will be given tasks to complete in between sessions and helpful worksheets to boost your positive thoughts.
Please note: low intensity CBT is only suitable for anxiety and depression. I am able to refer you to another therapist for treatment if required and will discuss this with you if needed.
Emotional Freedom Technique, also known as EFT or Tapping, helps realign the meridian pathways in the body. We often liken it to acupuncture without the needles! EFT is performed on the upper body including your head, face and torso as well as your hands. You will learn the method of tapping in our one hour session and will take home directions to practise. Tapping is a brilliant way to reset and distract you from any stressors that may arise. Sessions are via video call, making it accessible to anyone who wishes to learn.
